Early on, Duane Banderob, EverAg’s Chief Operating Officer, gravitated towards the dairy industry.
From family connections and early professional experiences, a desire to stay close to the dairy industry has always remained. “It started with the people and the cows and grew into a love for the industry at large – the combination of the products, policies, and international dynamics – there’s nothing else like it. Every day, I get to support customers seeking new ways to address market risk, transportation challenges, environmental mandates, or simply make their operations better. It is still shocking at times that I have this birds-eye view and get to participate in this very complex and fascinating supply chain,” Duane says.Duane Banderob, COO, Ever.Ag
Duane officially joined the legacy Dairy.com venture in 2013 as part of the Blimling acquisition – where he had worked since 2008. At Blimling, he supported traditional risk management activities for dairy cooperatives and processors. He worked on various consulting engagements ranging from plant feasibility studies to strategic planning exercises to market segmentation studies.
In 2014, Duane re-located to Texas to work from the company’s headquarters in Frisco, where he assumed his current role as COO. His days vary depending on the season and existing client projects, especially as the company has grown exponentially over the past couple of years. He works cross-functionally across the organization, often managing customer contracts, implementations, acquisition integrations, and even brainstorming new ideas to advance the company.
